At the latest Sony conference, company officials came up with a very important announcement for Call of Duty fans. The newest game in the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be available for testing over the weekend, in multiplayer.
Although Call of Duty: Warzone is nowhere to be found and will continue to have millions of passionate gamers, the upcoming Black Ops Cold War will include its own multiplayer experience. The latter, however, needs finishing before the official launch. For this reason, it can be experienced this weekend, completely free.
The only and most important condition to enjoy the new experience is to have a PS4 or PS4 Pro. Unfortunately, Xbox or PC owners do not have access to this offer eagerly awaited by FPS enthusiasts.
During the same event, Sony also released the trailer below for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It has been fully captured on PlayStation 5 and includes some new gameplay sequences, compared to the ones we saw in the first trailer a few months ago. On this occasion, Sony boasted about ray tracing support, a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR support on the new console.
The announcement of this weekend's alpha version of the game for PlayStation 4 also includes details about the experience you will be able to have. You will be able to access all the multiplayer game modes, maps and a preview for the player class creation section and the scorestreak upgrade system.
Because the game is very large, in the first part of today you should be able to start downloading and installing, so that you can spend as much time playing, from the moment in which it becomes available.
